DKIS in May, 2024

1. Three teacher trainees from Seoul National University had a teacher traing at DKIS for one month in May. The passionate and skilled teachers had a productive time with the students and provided them with a lot of help.

2. On May 7th to 8th, a career exploration week event was held, giving students the opportunity to explore and learn about their career paths.

3. On May 11th, a memorial walking event for Ahn Jung-geun was held. Organized by the Dalian Korean Association and the Ahn Jung-geun Spirit Promotion Headquarters, our DKIS students walked around the Geumseoktan area, taking time to honor Ahn Jung-geun.

4. On May 14th, the Elementary and Middle School Unity Sports Day was held. Divided into Blue and White teams, the students had a great time with enthusiastic cheering and participation.

5. On May 19th, the Acacia Festival, where youth from Korea, China, and Japan come together, was held at the Labor Park. Our schools band and Korean traditional music teams participated, spreading Korean culture and spirit widely.

6. From May 20th to the 24th, the Elementary and Middle School Parent Counseling Week was held, where sincere counseling sessions between parents and teachers took place. On the 22nd, there was an open class for middle school students, and many parents attended the class.

7. On May 24th, an Model United Nations event was held, organized by the International Exchange Department. Despite being the first event of its kind, many students participated actively, expressing their opinions and attentively listening.

8. On May 25th, the Northeast Three Provinces Unification Golden Bell event was held. Many students participated, learning about peace and history. In the end, 10th-grade student Im Gab-in remained as the last one standing and received an iPad and a big prize.

9. From May 28th to the 31st, 8th and 10th grade students went on a thematic study trip to Beijing. The students learned a lot about Chinese history and culture in the capital city of China, Beijing.

10. On the 30th, a Seoul National University admissions briefing session was held, receiving a great response from many parents and students.
